Takes me back to my high school classroom during the days of binging Inio Asano's old manga scanlations before anything was licensed. At that time, I was discovering many kinds of Asian shoegaze, but I've never heard anything like this. Better late to the party than never. How did I miss this band? It's a great blend of The Cure during their 'a forest' period and alternative rock. The first track Grandview plunges you into an ocean of psychodelic guitars and rythmic drums and like a siren lures you into the depths. A very accomplished album and although I wouldn't categorize it as Gothic it captures the early spirit of that dusty genre better than most contemporary bands nowadays. stargazing robot
